Hello again, Alan!
Welcome back. I was beginning to suspect that we had scared you off! ;-)

OK, Alan, let's assume (for the moment) that 2nd Timothy 3:16 is referring
to the Old Testament scriptures. So where in the Old Testament scriptures
can we find the scripture passage cited in John 7:38 (I posed this question
to you earlier in a posting titled "Scripture, Scripture, who's got the
Scripture)? If it isn't in the OT (and it isn't) then calling this
"scripture" must be wrong or else a false statement. And if John 7:38 is
wrong then either the NT is errant or Jesus was unable to correctly remember
what was scripture and what was not (or worse, was making it up!) -- a funny
case for a man who is said to be the "God" who gave those scriptures in the
first place!
