Good question. I base my assumption on such verses
as these.
2 Tim3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Pet1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by
the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they
were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The God the Bible presents is creator and sustainer
of everything. I believe such a God is capable of
giving us a book to learn about him. That is, it is
possible for his hand to guide its development.
By the way, I think such a God is capable of creating
evolution. In my mind, this sets me apart from
fundamentalist.
