POSTED TEXT
The day after Christmas a friend of mine died, I have
known and lived near this man for over 25 years, have done
business with him and shared family history and learned to
appreciate and respect our differences, You see, my friend
was an Indian, [American Indian] and he was proud of his
ancestry and he understood and appreciated the fact that I
was a White man and he liked me because I was proud of my
race as well... We were interested in one another, as a
different species and because we were honest with one
another we could therefore respect one another.
Glen, was a member of the United Methodist Church , near
Wayne here, and because they were liberal he "dated" the
widow women of the Church, he was a retired rail road
detective, ex- State Trooper, and was the Chief of Police in
a nearby town, years ago, We knew many of the same 'Old
Timers' and he was very interesting to talk to. He was
intelligent, but being an Indian his views of social
contact, and Christian ethics were very different, I learned
a lot by listening. I soon realized that Glen was 'all
Indian' and was making the best for himself in a White mans
world, he told me several times that my race was going to
become extinct, that the White man was a minority already,
and he made the comment as a matter of fact in his opinion
and didn't seem to care one way or the other.
Then yesterday I went to the funeral home to pay my
respects to a neighbor, friend and long time acquaintance,
and was really and truly shocked by the ceremony. Glen was
a Mason 32 degree I knew this but they are so secretive that
we never talked about this any, he said many times that he
'belonged' to the Masons, but no specific info... Many
of my neighbors were there from the Baptist and Methodist
Churches and the ceremony was conducted by the 'Lodge'...
It was a chilling experience to me, the men were
wearing black robes with a hat not unlike the flat top brim
less hat that 'bellhops' wear, there was 17 of them...
twelve to my right assembled as a quire might and on the
left was 5 officers which included a "wise man" with a gold
hat...
the ceremony was pretty much 'mumbo jumbo' and was designed
to be vague and meaningless to the un-initiated but the
symbolism spoke the audible message... " The Rosy Cross"
was the centerpiece of the presentation, it was a small
cross covered by small roses about six inches in length and
was handled in such a manner as to make one know that this
was no ordinary cross.
With arms crossed on their breast they muttered
incomprehensible chanted words and raising their hands
beside their heads and then crossing them on their chest
again... I glanced around to my fellow Christian White men
and women to catch the effect, the women were dabbing at
their eyes and many of the men were nodding their heads as
though approving the event they were witnessing,
When it was finished and the crowd started milling
around I quietly slipped up to the casket and said good bye
to the remains of my friend whom I suddenly realized that I
never knew as well as I thought previously, I shook hands
with a few friends in making my way back to the entrance,
and quickly went to my car and backed into an ice covered
road ,with my mind running full tilt, considering how
different things are from what they seem before we are
confronted by the naked truth. I reflected on the great
Judgment when all lies and hyprocracy will be stripped bare
that only the truth will be able to hold up the head and
show its face...
Upon arriving home I had many questions and as is my
practice I hurried to my computer and asked my browser about
the "Rosy Cross" and up came information about the
'Rosicrucian' or the occult religions of Jewish paganism...
I had not really realized that our town [as small as it
is] has a Synagogue, a place where many of our Ministers
attend and are initiated into the "Ancient Mysteries" and
get their Bible interpreted by a 'Master'....
I wonder if anyone else in my town understood. and
I wonder how much I missed because I do not fully
understand....
