TILL
Lenny, I too have looked at this web page, and I am not at all impressed.
LENNY
Didn't expect you to be.
TILL
This is obviously a Church-of-Christ publication, so I would not expect to
find any objectivity at all in the author's approach.
LENNY
Quite a big brush you are using Farrell.
First of all, no one that I know about denies that there is some historical
accuracy in the Bible, so I suspect that the author has focused on the parts
of the Bible that have been confirmed by archaeological discoveries and
extrabiblical records but skipped entirely those parts that archaeology has
disproven or called into question.
LENNY
I was not aware that archaeological discoveries had "disproven" the Bible!
TILL
I don't doubt at all that her approach was to argue that because SOME
accuracy in the Bible has been proven, ALL of the Bible must be true.
I wonder if you would contact Isabel Cummings and ask her if she would care
to participate in a debate on this subject on the internet. Her failure to
do so will tell us a great deal about how sure she is of her position when
she must defend it before an informed opposition.
LENNY
Her e-mail address is on her web page. You can try but I guess she would be
afraid to debate someone as great as you.
