The passage Ben is looking for is Matthew 6:5-6, "And when you pray, you
shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the
synagogues and in the corners of the streets that they may be seen of men.
Verily, I say to you, They have received their reward. But you, when you
pray, enter into your inner chamber and having shut your door, pray to your
Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret shall recompense
you."
This is a good opportunity to give a tip that can save people like Ben the
delay in getting information like this. To find a passage of scripture, all
one needs to do is consult a concordance. Select a key word from the
passage you are looking for, and look that word up in the concordance, and
it will list every biblical verse where it occurs with a brief phrase to
enable the researcher to recognize which particular verse he/she is looking
for. Since most concordances in libraries will be KJV references, one would
need to know how the verse reads in this version. However, there are
concordances of other versions, but they may not be available in your local
libraries.

The problem I have with many "concordances" is that they sometimes leave
out difficult verses. I then have to go to another source (such as the secular
web) to find the verse. I then check the Bible the "concordance" used and
find that the verse WAS there but was NOT included in the "concordance".
I would prefer to have the Bible in ASCII text version or Word version or
whatever. That way the text editor or word processor itself will find the word
and not discriminate as to whether the verse is difficult or not.
