RON
You know no answer will ever be good enough for him. But how
about Jesus' prediction that Israel would be "trampled on by the
gentiles until the time of the gentiles would be fulfilled". A paraphrase.
The re-creation of the state of israel after such a long time is
unheard of in world history. But my prophecy will be his coincidence no
matter what.

JOHN HAMILTON
Since there seems to be absolutely no resemblance between the modern
nation of Israel and any 'nation' mentioned in either the 'Old' or 'New'
Testaments, I don't see how this could be any form of prophecy fulfillment.

TILL
As I pointed out, the statement that Ron referred to was not made about
Israel but Jerusalem. I don't think we will see Ron saying too much more
about this prophecy. Maybe he would like to try another one.

RON
Man, you guys are really making me work! But I couldn't resist
disproving Mr. Till's prophecy ("not...too much more")! I was indeed
referring to Luke 21:20-24. Obviously Titus' "trampling" was not limited
to the environs of Jerusalem alone! He is referring immediately to
Jerusalem herself, but also mentions "this people", obviously the Jews.
Since they are connected with the Jewish nation with Jerusalem as its
capital, they are obviously a part of this prophecy. Jesus said they
would fall by the sword and be led as captives to every gentile country
until the time of the gentiles is fulfilled. This is a very concise
description of Jewish history from the fall of Jerusalem (yes, and
Israel) until the repossession of Jerusalem by the Jews in this century.
What I find most interesting about this prophecy is that Jesus made
this a precondition for the following events (Luke 21:25-28), the
disasters preceding the second coming of the Son of Man. How many
Christians were waiting for this event without taking this requirement
into consideration!
