NANCY Pat, we are all aware that sometimes the bible portrays Jesus as a human and other times portrays him to be divine. If Jesus is partly human and partly divine, then he is a demigod like Herakles and Perseus, who, like Jesus, are the offspring of a divine father and a human mother. Herakles and Perseus both had superhuman powers, but they also had human failings, just like Jesus. However, you and Claire have not been asserting that Jesus was partly human, partly divine. You have been asserting that Jesus was *fully* human and *fully* divine. But this cannot be. If Jesus is fully human, then he cannot be even partly divine. And if he is fully divine, then he cannot be even partly human. What you seem to be saying in your post is that you think that Jesus was part human and part divine. Is this what you mean to say?
