Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free,
there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
(ld) Just as Christ and the Father are one?

1 Cor 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not
permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience,
as also saith the law.


If we are all the same "in Christ" -- why is it commanded for the women to
keep silent in the church? (of all places?)  It would seem she should be
allowed the same rights and privelages as men. And why do Christian
churches today allow women to teach and preach if this is clearly the "word
of God"... that they should be "silent" and under "obedience?"
