Matthew 27:46
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying,
"Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You
forsaken Me?"
I am totally SURPRISED no one else has mentioned this because this
"explanation" is very COMMON. This statement that Jesus makes is
taken from Psalm 22 verse 1. There is another verse in Psalm 22
which is an 'alledged' prophecy concerning the crucifixian. It
is verse 19 which mentions the casting lots for his garments.
Not that I buy this 'explanation' mind you, but Christians do use
it. Basically their argument is that he was just doing the common
practice at the time of praying from the Psalms.
