While I would agree with you that the "bible God", as described therein, is
a paradox, I wouldn't try to disprove "His Almightiness" on this basis
alone.
A paradox, as I understand it, is something that seems contrary to common
sense, but could possibly still be true. This seems like an apologist's
argument for the proof of God rather than a disproof as you suggest.
Atheists don't have to disprove the existence of God. They merely have to
say "Prove that God exists." Since atheists aren't the ones making the
fantastic claims for the existence of God, they aren't the ones that have to
prove their point. They simply have to sit back and watch as biblicists
invariably come around to admitting that they can't actually prove that
their bible God does exist, but they _believe_ He does.
At this point, the Atheist simply says, "Well, come back when you think you
_can_ prove it, and then we'll talk."

I agree with what you say...I didnt mean to imply that god doesnt exist...but
that I cant conceieve of the bibles character of god as existing...(unless hes
extremely imperfect and bipolar.) I dont deny the concept of a higher power,
nor can I define what this "god" may be; perhaps it exists and is a higher
power consisting of natural energy. As far as manmade gods...well, I cant
disprove the Boogeyman or William Tell, but I dont find ancient superstitions
plausible.
But as you say, the burden of proof lies on the one making the positive
assertions. Perhaps I cant disprove a god, whatever it may be, but I can
certainly refute the usual bad fundamentalist arguments.
