"Michael Koller" <mike_koller@email.msn.com> preached:

<<< They are not content to feel good about their
beliefs, but impose those beliefs on the rest of
society so that the rest of society can feel good
too (or so they think). And if the rest of society
feels good, then that is all that matters? What ever
happened to truth? >>>

<<< I know I'm probably confusing some people, but let
me conclude by quoting Bertrand Russell, who I believe
summarized it best:

"The fundamental defect of Christian ethics consists in
the fact that it labels certain classes of acts 'sins'
and others 'virtue' on grounds that have nothing to do
with their social consequences. "Bertrand Russell, The
Quotable Bertrand Russell (ed. Lee Eisler, Buffalo, NY:
Prometheus, 1993), p. 118. >>>

It is odd and quite illogical that Koller would first
complain about imposing beliefs on others and then
quote Russell, one of the leading advocates of total
socialism, whose goal is to tell others how to act
in every aspect of society from economics to religion.

Note that this particular book was published by
Prometheus Books, one of the leading publishers
of books on the religion of Atheism, which it
quaintly calls "daring and different".

A much more appropriate quote from Russell for this
list is:

"Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth --
more than ruin, more even than death."
  --Bertrand Russell
