Ron, this is once again typical of what drives thesists... mind you
psychologically religion is quite smart, it plays on peoples emotions..
Your fear if you don't behave you won't get to heaven... ie... its all
based
on the emotions of fear and hope, you are obviously driven by these
emotions too or you would not have made the above statement..
I really don't mind if people want to believe this stuff and it helps them
to cope with life and keeps them feeling loved etc... all psychologically
well understood.
Its when they try to force their views on the rest of society as the
catholic
church does, that I spit the dummy...
The misery, poverty and environmental damage that the RCC is partly
responsible for through its dogma is what gets me..
Why cant they be like the anglicans, preach to their flock of believers and
leave the rest of us alone? After all, they still have not produced one
scrap of substantiated evidence for their claims in all these years.
