  What qualifies me to make that decision is my right to speak up when 
other people's rights are being threatened. The Declaration of 
Independence says that we have the right, endowed by the Creator (that's God in case you
didn't know), to life, liberty, etc. It also says I 
have the freedom of speech to declare when someone's life is being 
threatened.
