One of the proofs that Dr. D. James Kennedy gave as evidence of the =
resurrection was the Jews that switched from the sabbath to the first =
day of the week as a day of worship. This was compelling evidence to =
him. The reason was that Jews were very devout sabbath keepers and it =
would have taken something serious to get them to ever switch. However, =
this is easily shown to be unneccessary. Jews convert to christianity =
all the time, even today in the 1990's and when they do they abandon the =
sabbath abd begin worship on the first day of the week. This does not =
mean they are eyewitnesses to the resurrection. They BELIEVE that Jesus =
arose from the dead but they have not personally witnessed it. This does =
not offer proof that Jesus rose from the dead, only that some people =
believe he did. Likewise in the first century the presence of Jewish =
converts to christianity does not prove they personally witnessed the =
resurection. It only proves they believed the reports of the =
resurrection.
This is not first hand proof that a resurrection actually occurred.=20
