Perhaps I missed something.
What specific evidence do you have to suggest that Atheists become such
because of sexual convenience? I assure you that I was far more sexually
promiscuous before I became an Atheist. Now, I am Atheist, happily married
with two children and utterly faithful to my wife.
Since Atheists make up such a small portion of the population, I would
venture that a far larger number of Christians are sexually promiscuous
than Atheists. Does this suggest that Christianity causes someone to be
sexually promiscuous or that people ‘choose’ Christianity because of sexual
convenience? Certainly not. What it does suggest is that it is unnecessary
for someone to become an Atheist in order to become or justify becoming
sexually promiscuous.
