Don't avoid the issue! It doesn't matter whether the percentage of
priests who sexually molest kids is 1 or 50 - the POINT is that being
Catholic does NOT prevent people from engaging in sexual behavior
that you (and most people with regards to pedophillia) find immoral!
Answer the issue, Ron - if people are atheists primarily to avoid
sexual restrictions, and if being religious (Catholic) keeps people
on the sexual "straight and narrow" then why are there ANY pedophillic
priests, let alone as many as there are? And why aren't we seeing
large numbers of atheists being convicted for pedophillia?

RON
  You make two errors.
1.I never suggested that religion (Christian or otherwise) keeps
people on the straight and narrow. Only that most atheists become such
because of sexual convenience. Christians still have to struggle with
their self-control.
  2. You assume that pedophilia is the greatest sexual tendancy. For
that matter there is no reason to believe that a lage portion of all
pedophiles are not atheists.
Whether some priests are pedophiles, murderers, whatever, has no
bearing on the fact that atheism is an easy out for those who do not
wish to conform to Judeo-Christian (or Buddhist, etc.)morality. If you
are one of those people you know it, or at least have nagging doubts. I
hope you will be honest with yourself.
