BRYCE
I'll try and help Ron out on this one. Sometime last spring,
astronomers at Arizona State discovered a killer asteroid, which they
thought would hit the earth in October 2029. Further research by the
quality journalists at "The Sun" magazine (which has brought to light
such important news events such as "Woman Gives Birth to Two-Headed
Alien Elvis Impersonator," and "Biblical Scholars Predict the World
Will End in July 1998 (read inside to find out what you must do to
defend yourself)) revealed that the asteroid bore the image of
Lucifer, Prince of Darkness(TM). A few days later, more precise
astronomical data revealed that Satan had screwed up, and would miss
the planet by about 300,000 miles.
Now, if Jesus Christ was discovered today orbiting the sun in
such a way that he would hit the earth in 2029, at which time the
second coming would surely take place (is that a cloud of glory, or is
he just burning up on re-entry?), then the time of his coming would be
known, and it could be said that his return had been "gradual."
Hope this helps,
Bryce Anderson
