What would you do if your son/daughter was being raped by a group of men.
Intervene or stand back and watch?

I would intervene.  However, it would pose some risk to myself.  In order
to make this more like the God scenario, I should be able to intervene and
have absolute 100% confidence that I would not be harmed and that I would
succeed.  Not only that, I could UNDO what was done to her/him.  Not
intervening under these circumstances is utterly deplorable.
