<< A christian mantra goes along the lines of "prayer changes things." I
recall
seeing these words on a bumper sticker some years ago.

Faith healers claim god cures diseases.

 These are testable claims. >>

To all:
As you may or may not know, my father is agnostic. He is also a
neurologist. And he is very familiar with schitzophrenia. Also, he is very
familiar with cancer. He's seen many 'miraculous' recoveries. But he
remains agnostic. Why? Well, simple. There is no difference between
religious recoveries and nonreligious recoveries. After all, illness is bad
for the body. Eventually, the body recognizes some forms of cancer. And
kills them. Often times when it looks bad for the patient. He has also seen
people that without clinical evidence against them, can be very convincing
they are God. He is usually treating someone who claims to be the son of
God. This is what he thinks Jesus was - a schitzophrenic. Oh well, back to
the topic. These tests are not in favor of the Christians. And even if they
were, belief would be the cause, not divine intervention. It has been proven
that if someone thinks they will live, they have a better chance. Well, hope
this helped...
