Something wierd that I came across recently. Perhaps someone here could
shed some light on it.
Genesis 16:15 records the birth of Ishmael, Abraham's son by Hagar. Genesis
21:3 records the birth of Isaac, Abraham's son by Sarah. However, in
Genesis 22, Isaac is called "thine only son" at least three times (verse 2,
12 and 16).
What gives? Is this a genuine contradiction, or am I missing something?
