What Happened before the Big Bang?

>I will state my definition again:
>
>The universe is defined as the set of all things.
>
>This is a definition. If as you say this is a ridiculous definition, then
>please explain how it fails.
Adnan:
Steve, stop repeating the same nonsense over and over again like a broken
record, even after I answered this question many times. I don't mind
repeating the response, but before I do that, here is one more example
which demonstrate that logical thinking is something you lack:
STEVE STOKES:
>You sound real stupid when you ask for evidence of a definition.
>Definitions are agreed upon, they are not proven. The number 3 is defined,
>there is no proof of the number 3. You can't ask someone to provide a
>single EVIDENCE to support their definition of the number 3.
ADNAN:
Gee, Steve, you sound worse than a Biblical inerrantist. If someone defines
the Bible as God's word, are we supposed to ask for the evidence or accept
their definition?
If I say that "an object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion
will continue with a constant velocity unless it experiences a net external
force," you can't simply claim that this (Newton's first law of motion) is
false without providing the evidence. You can't simply claim that you
DEFINE laws of motion differently and that you don't have to provide
evidence for your definition.
Now, as I told you many time that according to modern physics, space and
time are one thing, and none of them exist without matter. Theory of
RELATIVITY replaces the earlier concepts of space and time as separate
absolute entities. In space-time, events in the universe are described in
terms of a four-dimensional continuum in which each observer locates an
event by three spacelike coordinates and a timelike coordinate. Why don't
you search the web to see what astronomers say about the origin of
universe? You have decided to humiliate yourself by continuously rejecting
scientific facts. Do you know what this says about your mentality? Here I
quote from an encyclopedia, are you going to reject this encyclopedia too,
and stick to your own, ridiculous, unproved, undemonstrated definition?

Origin of the Universe:
Evidence tends to confirm that the universe began its existence about 15
billion years ago as a dense, hot globule of gas expanding rapidly
outward. At that time, the universe contained nothing but hydrogen and a
small amount of helium. There were no stars and no planets. The first
stars probably began to condense out of the primordial hydrogen when the
universe was about 100 million years old and continue to form as the
universe aged. The Sun arose in this way 4.6 billion years ago. Many stars
came into being before the Sun was formed; many others formed after the Sun
appeared. This process
continues, and through telescopes we can now see stars forming out of
compressed pockets of hydrogen in outer space. In 1992, instruments aboard
the Cosmic Background Explorer (COBE) satellite, launched in 1989, showed
that 99.97% of the radiant energy of the universe was released within the
first year of the primeval explosion. This evidence seems to confirm the
Big Bang theory which holds that the universe originated from a single
violent explosion (a big bang) of a very small agglomeration of matter of
extremely high density and temperatures. Astronomers also theorize that 99%
of the matter in the universe is invisible or dark matter composed of some
kind of matter that they cannot yet detect.
