It was that evolutionary process of making Mary the Mother of God "Co-redemtrix" of the universe. Even with all the errors found in Holy Scripture, one is stretched to impossible limits in having Mary elevated to deity. This is just one of the many things that gives Protestant fits--and rightly so! I would have Claire look at her new Catholic Catechism and do some reading on this topic. It's well worth the study. Defending a non-biblical doctrine is a pain! ;-) Doug Larson
