Acts 10:44 and 11:15

I checked my Greek NT and this is what I found.

Acts 10:44 uses a present participle (laloyntos), which indicates an action
contemporaneous to the action of the main verb. In other words, the action
of the main verb (the spirit falling on them) happened while the action of
the participle was happening (speaking those words). Hence the translation,
"while Peter was speaking."  Acts 11:15 says, "arksasthai me lalein." The
word "arksasthai," from archo, means "began" and lalein means to speak,
hence "as I began to speak." 

Since Matt thinks that perfect doesn't really mean perfect if it doesn't
suit his argument, maybe he thinks that begin doesn't really mean begin
since it doesn't suit his argument.
