If we fight and win in the name of God then He was on our side.
If we fight and lose then we were not faithful.
Seems like no matter what happens, there is a "mental pretzel" answer to
avoid the obvious conclusions.
What kind of God allows the torture and murdering of innocent people,
such as in the holocaust?
Would an omnibenevolent God kill an innocent baby? or strike someone
with lightning for touching an ark? or turn someone into stone for
looking at something?
The inerrantist christian, as I see it, has to accept one of two
conclusions here. Either no such benevolent God exists or these biblical
stories are fictitious.
