Walt-

If Adam and Eve were created with an innate understanding of good and
evil then why didn't they innately aware of their nakedness before eating
the fruit? If knowledge of good and evil are innate, there would be no
need to have this grand mythological story with tempting serpents and
trees with knowledge in their fruit.

"evil." So to answer your question, Adam and Eve did know cognitively
what evil was, though experientially they did not "know" what it was.
Just as God "knew" what evil was because He experienced its activity
through the fall of Satan, Adam and Eve had no exposure or experi ence
to it .
