(Ian 5/31) Dave, rather than continue with all the strings on DAY, I
have condensed them here.

DAY means a 24 hour day as stated by Till and as exemplified in the
commandment, Six days thou shalt work but the seventh day is holy, etc.

DAY means a 24 hour day as explained by Michael using the Genesis
wording, And the evening and the morning were the first day.

DAY means a 24 hour period as explained by myself as the period of time
it takes Earth to make one complete revolution about it's own axis as it
orbits around the Sun.

Because the Bible was written for man, any other meaning of DAY in the
Bible, such as an indeterminate period of time, must be a:

a. Lie
b. Deception
c. Error
or
d. __________

I hesitate to go further until you agree with the above or come up with
another explanation.

(DAVE 6/1) Ian: I don't disagree with the above, as I don't know. what you
are stating is logical. Can option (d) not be an "ignorant explanation"?
Much like, as I said on another post, my son saying "mummy's baby is coming
from the door in her tummy" - there's truth to this statement, but it
certainly isn't specific or technical - it is an ignorant explanation - yet
sincere with no deception intended.

I rule out a, b and c as being options at this point. Please don't
misinterpret what I'm saying - I am not necessarily arguing for a longer
period of time being implied by the word "day" - only that this may be possible.

I don't know where that leaves us, but that is what I think at this point.

Thanks.

Dave.
