There was a story in my hometown paper about a woman who went on a tour of
the "holy land". Throughout her two week stay she was put up and fed for
free everywhere she went by fellow christians she hadn't previously met
(through her domination, or something). At the end of her stay her plane
was delayed by a day during which she went without food. At the end of her
story she talks on and on about how wonderful Jesus had been to provide her
with food and shelter throughout the whole trip, and only denied her one
day's worth of food to remind her that HE had been her provider. She never
once thinks to thank those that had ACTUALLY provided for her!

(Ian 6/26) Reminds me of my good neighbor across the road last year. His
garden was much better than mine and he was a Southern Baptist ( real
fine man). I told him how great his garden looked and he told me that if
I believed in the Lord my garden could be as good as his. I responded
that if he didn't believe in the Lord, his health would be as good as
mine. Harvey died in December and I surely miss him.

Reminds me of the story of the atheist who loved gardening. He was
Married to a church going Christian. One day the Minister came over
For a visit and the man took him out to see his beautiful garden.
At every turn the Minister said things like "praise God" and how beutifll
The works of God were. After listening to this for a few minutes the
Atheist responded, "Well, reverend you should have seen what it
Looked like when God was taking care of it by himself".

The other day upon the stair,
I met a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today,
I wish I wish he'd go away.
All through history the ancient gods have found themselves in the trash can
of history, eventually discarded. Atheists today are continuing that
tradition. We are adding Jehovah, or Yahweh, to the list....
