yoel-
He is supposed to unite the Jews, turn them towards Judaism, return all
Jews to Israel, set up a Jewish theocracy in Israel. (According to some)
restore the disgusting temple worship. He is supposed to make the Jews a
light to all nations. He is supposed to restore the Davidic dynasty. He is
supposed to make Israel a mighty nation "again" (it never was) and destroy
the enemies of the Jews.

TILL
In order to become a "mighty nation," Israel would have to acquire
substantially more territiory than what it now controls, and I can't see how
that this would be possible.

(DAVE 6/23) Farrell: Not necessarily - do you consider Canada a "mighty
nation"? I don't. But we have more "territory" than the US. Is Brazil a
mighty nation? No, but they have a big territroy. I guess Japan wasn't
very mighty in WW2? Not much territory there. I disagree with your
statement here. Being mighty and having territory are not necessarily
hand-in-hand.

Farrell
World opinion and arm-twisting from the
"mighty nations" that now exist have made it impossible for Israel even to
retain the territories that it gained in its wars with the Arab nations
around it.

(DAVE 6/23) Farrell: Yes, but are they "mighty" enough to take it if they
want it? Obviously, they were - more than likely still are.

Are you equating military prowess with being "mighty"? Or are there other
factors? If so, certainly territorial size isn't the only issue.

Not an errancy thing, so I don't know if you want to carry this on further.

regards.

Dave.
