My Christians would say that evil is anything that is not of God.
(DAVE 6/18) Yoel: Many do - I don't totally agree - I don't think all that
is not of God is evil, but I certainly think that all that is evil is not of
God. There are some very nice people and things that are not "of God" which
I would not term "evil".
You are not "of God" at this time yet, from what I know of you, I would
certainly not consider you "evil" by any stretch of the imagination.
In the same way, there are "good" things that are not of God - at least from
my perspective. God's perspective might provide us with a different outlook.

The devil is the king of this world, and he masquerades as an angel of
light. This world therefore, is evil, and we servants of Christ are just
pilgrims sojourning through on our way to glory, witnessing for Christ and
being a light for him in this dark and evil world. Light cannot have
fellowship with darkness.
(DAVE 6/18) Yoel: Although I don't think or speak in such apocalyptic and
"preached" language, I agree with this in general.
