It is always nice to have some one tell us how we "Christians" should
act. and what God should have done, and what the Bible ought to say,
Right Jerry!!

Yeah, they sure know a lot about it don't they? In Christ's service,

Hey Brother,
Perhaps spending the bulk of my life as a christian, and going to
christian bording shcools didn't teach me about christianity, but I
think it did. In fact I DO know a lot about it! Anyhow, it's not me
that said "turn the other cheek", it was someone named Jesus. Perhaps
you've heard of him, although he didn't seem to want to write down his
teachings, there's a whole bunch of "eyewitness" information about his
teachings--right there in black and white for anyone to look at.
So, yes, I can draw comparisons between your actions and statements,
and the stated positions of Jesus. Just as if a muslim started
boozing it up and created a "graven image" of an animal, I could point
out that these actions are contrary to the teachings of his recognized
messanger of God.
I'll give you this: calling someone stupid really isn't that big a
deal. Unless (and this is a big unless) you worship someone who told
you not to do it! I'd also like to remind you that I did remark how
people in both camps seemed kinda mean-spirited, it wasn't simply a
barb aimed at xians. I don't want to make a big deal out of the whole
thing, but I cannot and will not feel dumb or embarrassed for
suggesting a little civility.
If that does not make sense to you, I'm at a loss for a way to explain
it to you.
peace,
John Phipps
