ROBSON.
What a glorious cop-out ! So "Heinous sin" on the part of one or some of the
members of a group justifies wiping out the whole of a grou does it ?
Even the very young.... even the unborn children (well some of the women
must have been pregnant). If this is God's idea of "justice" ... well...
Some of the sins are pretty 'unheinous' didn't one of the prophets (Elijah)
kill a bunch of kids for some trivial reason ? (sorry, I don't have a Bible
to
hand where I am at the moment)
Dictators have used this sort of argument throughout the years to justify
all sorts of atrocities by blaming the victims... [a common example of this
is
"God doesn't send people to hell, they go to hell for rejecting him". Who
decided this rule ?]

ROBSON.
Well, the genocide performed by Stalin was probably ok, because you see, some
of these people had heinously sinned against Stalin's law you see, and the
removal of those people was a consequent. ;-)
How about "I believe arbitrary termination of someone else's life because you
don't like
what they say or do is wrong " ?
> So, whereis the justice Nancy? On your view of things, you would just
have to say

You still haven't explained why we *need* to have objective morals on
everything. I can't answer for Nancy but I do not see why it is necessary to
have
a set of 'objective rules' to decide answers for everything. And if your
'objective
morals' are dependent on God in anyway (e.g. his existence or otherwise) then
they are no more "objective" than Stalin's. When I look at some parts of the
Old Testament the killing doesn't seem to be much less arbitrary than
Stalin's.
For example, I loathe the taste of sprouts. I cannot give an objective reason
why
this is..... so by your argument any judgement I make about sprouts is
invalid.
(And life does suck sometimes Walt, it's the way of things)
