GENE NIELSEN:
Here's something I haven't seen addressed on the list. (If it's been dealt
with before I joined, forgive me for bringing it up again.)
Apparently 2 Kings 19 & Isaiah 37 are almost word for word identical. The
only difference I can see is Isaiah adds one more verse, v 21:
21: "Then Isaiah, the prophet, the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying,
Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: All that you have prayed
before me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria have I heard;" (Lamsa
Bible)
Looks to me like somebody copied from somebody else. Why? Who was first,
Isaiah or Kings? Any ideas, anybody?
