Hello, Walt. I am not one of Till's make believe friends. I am
a student attending Michigan Technological University. I am a
Christian(I believe you are one too right?). Why would you say I am one
of Till's make believe friends? Would you say it to yourself? What is it
that you think is wrong about me. If John the Baptist was on this
list-server would you think the worse of him? This idea that we as
believers have to prove everything to everyone is wrong. In the Bible it
states the righteous live by faith, and we do not live by bread alone, but
by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We live by faith
and not by sight. It also states that we are to prove(different meaning)
all things, cling to what is good, abhor what is evil. God told us to go
forth and preach the gospel unto every creature, he told us that He is a
sun and a sheild, and that He will give grace and glory, no good thing
will He withhold from those who walk uprightly(Psalms 84:11). We are to
speak and meditate on His word day and night, so that we may be prosperous
and have good success(Joshua 1:8). I try to live by what the scriptures
say completely(but of course I fall short at times). In Romans 12:1 it
says we are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice unto God. It also
states in the Bible that Paul would have us to be well versed(I believe it
is in Romans 16:18 or 19). In Prov. 3:5-6, and Psalms 23:1 that
He will lead us, and Prov. 3:5-6 states we are not to lean on our own
understanding(but trust in God). In 1 John 2:20-27, John 14:26 that the
Holy Spirit will teach us all things, and bring all things into our
rememberance. Jesus said we could do greater works than He did, because
He has gone unto the Father. Everything that is taught to us from the
Holy Spirit is truth and no lie. Throughout the whole Bible God has talk
to people, and has wrought many miracles. Well, I might as well clear up
any confusion. I am not here because the Devil tempted me. Thanks,
Tony Woodcock.
