To all on this list:

I am afraid that I will have to cease responding to messages on this
list until some time after the Christmas holidays, because I just can't
keep up with all of you. I still have to write all my Christmas cards
and do a lot of shopping. I will be "lurking" until I leave, which will
be early next week. I could try to respond to a couple of messages
before I leave, but I can't promise anything. When I leave, I will
un-sxxxcribe, and then I will re-sxxxcribe when I return.

To Austin Cline: Transubstantiation is not "metaphorical"; it is
"metaphysical".

To Ricardo: Even if Heaven is not in the sky above, that doesn't mean
that Jesus' Ascension didn't happen. I am only leaving the list
temporarily, so I will eventually answer your question.

To all on this list: Some of you have suggested that my Catholic Bible
commentaries are just so much Catholic propaganda. I think I need to
thoroughly understand the Catholic view of the Bible before I can reject
it. I am still learning what the Catholic understanding of the Bible is.

Anyway, I apologize for not giving you satisfactory answers to your
questions.
