TILL Now isn't that beautiful? We have bombarded inerrantists on the list with overwhelming evidence on various issues, which has never been to their satisfaction. The discussions with Lenny Santee are excellent examples. As I have shown through detailed analyses of 1 Samuel 21-23, the writer understood that David was alone during his flight from Saul. Did this information meet with Lenny's "satisfaction"? Not at all, he insisted on a direct statement, which said, "And by the way, David was all by himself when he was fleeing from Saul." Without this, Lenny insists, "You haven't proven anything!" What is sauce for the goose should also be sauce for the gander, so if Lenny is entitled to do this, why shouldn't we insist on standards just as rigid. That's why I wonder if Michael would accept the challenge to prove to us that the NT requires Christians to observe the Lord's Supper every first day of the week. If so, let's see his argument.
