 As I see it, Jesus is encouraging a generous attitude towards those in
 need. Between 1992 and early 1997 I worked in Romania as an evangelist
 and church-planter. I had lots of people coming to me for money all the
 time. Many times I gave money to them. In one case I was badly deceived
 by a particular lady to the tune of US$900 over a period of time. But do
 you know what? God gave back to me! In so many ways - including
 financially.

Well, then, I'm going to ask Michael to send me $1,000.  He should be eager
to do this, because he will benefit twofold: (1) He will enjoy the
satisfaction of knowing that he has obeyed God's word.  (2)  God will see
that he gets it back.
