NEED HELP FAST

There are great examples in medicine.  When Lister started washing his
hands before each surgery he was ridiculed by the other surgeons as going
against the will of god.  Likewise when he (I think) used anesthesia for
childbirth, he was criticized severely for counteracting Genesis.

When Jenner developed the smallpox vaccine he was denounced from the
pulpits as going against the will of god, though the preachers soon began
bringing their families to his backdoor for secretive inoculations when it
was shown that the vaccine worked.

It's been the same with contraceptives.  

These are off the top of my head, but I'm sure you could find a lot more
just in the field of medicine if you did some research.
