<< In fact, God never intended for Abraham to kill his son in
the first place. This was just one of those little practical jokes
God likes to play on his people at times. The Bible
euphemistically refers to these episodes as "tests."
So God was only testing Abraham. >>
DAR
Dave, nor any other inerrantist that I know of has tried to
explain why an omniscient god would have a "test".
This is the same spook of which the Bible says:
"...for he knoweth the secrets of the heart." Psalm 44:21
"O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me... thou
understand my thought afar off... and art acquainted with all my
ways." Psalm 139:1-3
"And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the
hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast
chosen,..." Acts 1:24
Contrast this with:
...the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the
wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, TO KNOW what
was in thine heart... Deut. 8:2
Come on inerrantist wimps, don't be a Dave. Try to deal with a
Bible contradiction.
cheers,
Darrel
