Well gee Mike, it looks like Peter is using (if I remember the
terms correctly) the second person singular. He is speaking directly to
those present with him and _them_ some kind of instruction. It's a bit
of reach from the second person singular to a universal all inclusive
rule.
And a similar problem seems to exist even with Acts 1:5. Jesus
is telling the Apostles what will happen to _them_. That passage is
silent on whether or not anyone else will be "baptized with the holy
spirit".
Of course, silly me, I expect people to say what they mean.
