HUGHES
You are probably correct with all three....but then what do
you expect from a religion that does not recognize Jesus as the
messiah, a group that came up with "another gospel" (see Gal.
1:8-9) that was predominantly brought about by its leader to save
his hide, and a cult that claims to know when Jesus was going to
return when Jesus claimed to not even have knowledge of that
Himself at the time, and when they failed miserably on three
different occasions to accurately predict His return, claimed that
He really did anyway the last time, but only a select few saw
Him. (see Rev. 1:7). >>
YOEL
<< In one place, perhaps two, Jesus claimed not to have
knowledge of his coming, but he repeatedly claimed that it
would be "soon", that people alive in that day would see his
coming. Yeah, yeah... spiritual kingdom... nice brush-off to the
obvious fact that JC's promise failed miserably. The Mormons,
the Witnesses, the Moonies, all of these have failed predictions
and I'm sure they all have intelectualisations and excuses as why
the prophecies in fact DID NOT fail. >>
DAR
A little point I use to make as a JW: While the Bible does say
that "no man knows the day or hour" it does NOT say that
someone couldn't know the year and the month!
Why don't you practice what you preach and be silent where
the Bible is silent, Hughes.
cheers,
Darrel
