Speaking in tongues appears several places in old and new testament of the
Bible and Paul encouraged Christians to talk in tongues (1 Cor 14:5). Why
it is that only some Christian denominations practice this type of
communication with their God? It think it would be interesting to be at a
public event and see a Christian is just blubbering (talking in tongues)
away in prayer. I never have seen anyone talk in tongues. Where could I
go to get a demonstration?

Speaking in tongues is a NT doctrine. To see a demonstration, attend just
about any Pentecostal revival meeting, and you will more than likely see the
babbling start.
