Walt (like every other creationist I've ever talked to) doesn't WANT to
read any books on the subject. I think they won't read the books because
they're AFRAID that evolution will become evident, once they understand the
subject. So they'd rather pose questions that require complicated answers
that they can't even understand, (because their knowledge of science is so
poor) then consider us stumped when we can't give them a simplistic answer.

I, myself, have taken a vow to not debate anyone on evolution who is not
willing to first read a couple of books (that I choose) on the subject and
get a basic understanding of chemistry, biology, paleontology, and genetics
before I will engage in such discourse. I wish all scientists would do the
same - then, maybe out of frustration, the Walts of the world will actually
come to the debating table with some REAL understanding of the subject!
(Of course, most likely then, the majority of creationists would see the
truth of evolution and give up their ridiculous belief in creation, and
there would be no reason for a debate!!)
