"(Christ-Ian 4/1) You're a liar McDonald. The only reason you won't
come after us to kill us is because you don't have the balls to do it.
You will sit there like so many others waiting for a leader with the
charisma to lead you into battle and slaughter all the
non-believers."

McDonald 4/1/97
Please spare me your ideas concerning my beliefs. I am waiting
for no one to lead us into battle against you unbelievers. I am not
a Premillenialist. I don't believe that Jesus is going to rapture
the saved into heaven and then lead them in battle during the
so-called battle of Armageddon. Jesus' kingdom is not that kind of
kingdom.

TOD
You are very full of anger Jerry, what did jesus say about anger?
Didn't he say to love your neighbor? How can you call one you love an
enemy? Is this the superior morality of Christianity? If it is, then
there isn't much that can be said about Christianity's moral
superiority. What of forgiveness? Not 7 times but 70 times seven?
How can somebody still be your enemy after you have forgave them? If
you still consider them your enemy, you haven't wholeheartedly forgave
them, especially if they claim benevolence towards you. You are very
unChristian Jerry. Your behavior is the very opposite of the behavior
called for from Jesus. He says don't get angry, you get angry. He
says love everybody, you show nothing but loathing and label us
"enemies" right of the bat. He says forgive, you offer no indication
of forgiveness. Look at Dave Court Jerry, he actually tries to be the
person that Christ described, and while I think he is one of the top
most illogical people on this list, it can't be argued that he isn't
the kindest and most patient. You are the total opposite of Court, in
fact, I haven't seen so much hate from a participant since Perry
Robinson, and he was a violent proned Christian Reconstructionalist,
that is why I suggest you join. I feel sorry for you Jerry, to be
full of such anger and hate must leave an emptiness that you can't
seem to fill, if you can, I wish you WOULD fill it and get over these
dreadful emotions you seem to harbor.

McDonald 4/1
Read what Paul said about anger: "Be ye angry and sin not..."
(Eph. 4:26). Jesus didn't say that you couldn't have enemies, in
fact he said: "love your enemies" (Mt. 5:44). Are you asking for
forgiveness, Tod? Scripturally, I can't forgive until you ask for
it. What are you asking forgiveness for? The fact that you and I
are enemies does not mean that I don't love your soul, but it does
mean that I can't scripturally have fellowship with you. Dave Court,
a real nice guy, can handle his responses any way he sees fit. I
prefer the more direct approach. I call a spade a spade. All I did
was to inform Ian that he could save his Easter greetings, that I
didn't celebrate it in any form or fashion. You people think that
those who do celebrate it are foolish idiots, but when you find
someone who doesn't celebrate it you treat him like he's Charles
Mansion.
You can save your homespun psychology. I am not a very angry
person as you presume. I am a very happy person, but I will not
budge one inch for you atheists on this list. I am not proned to
violence and I am not filled with hate and anger. I am a debater (as
Farrell Till warned everyone of you when I came on the list), and
when one of you turns up the heat, I will too. You people can't
stand it when somebody doesn't meet your ideals about what a
Christian should be like. You know nothing about Christianity, so
please don't even bother lecturing me on the subject. I label you as
an enemy because you are my enemy, as is every other atheist on this
list or in the world. The purpose for this list is to destroy
people's faith in the inerrancy of the scriptures. My purpose is to
fight you every step of the way.

If none of the original autographs exist, then how do you know that
the KJV is the best we have? I can't wait to hear this one.

I don't suppose you have ever heard of the science of textual
criticism have you? You take all of the manuscript evidence, all of
the version evidence, all of the early writings and make your
decision based upon that. You might not think that textual criticism
is valid, but it is the only way we have of making our decisions
concerning any writing of antiquities. Without the science of
textual criticism you couldn't know anything about the plays of
Shakespheare, Sopheces, the works of Plato and Aristotle or any other
writer of antiquities. You don't have the original autographs of any
of these, yet decisions are made based upon the evidence that we do
have (which, by the way, is not anything near like the evidence we
have for the Bible) all the time. Without textual criticism, how
would you know that any of the works of Shakespheare or Plato and
Aristotle were actually written by them and are accurate
representations of what those writers wrote? I can't wait to hear
this one, it's going to be good!
