Jerry McDonald to Ian-
You can save your peace offerings.
>> We are not at peace. We are at war. This war, between us, will
>> continue as long as you are on the side you are on.

yoel-
Nice guy. I guess the joy of the Lord must be his strength.

Now, what do you think it would be like to live in a theocracy where the
people in charge can only see others disagreeing in terms of war?

At least McDonald is honest about his feelings. There are some who paint
phony Christian smiles on their faces when confronting the non-Christian
public, but espouse the same views as McDonald.

By the way, Jerry's imagery is clearly scriptural I still have it partially
memorized (it was one of the NT passages which my Christian missionaries
made me memorize:

"Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God so that you can withstand the wiles of the
devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Therefore put of the whole armour of God...
Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, and
with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted
with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to
this, take the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the
flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and THE SWORD
OF THE SPIRIT, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:10-17

So, the polaristic War/Battle imagery which McDonald uses is clearly based
in the NT.
