Till:
it has seemed to be a policy of biblicists for the past several months
to lead the discussion off onto wranglings about abstract philosophical
matters . . . [t]hey know that they can't defend inerrancy, and so they
set up philosophical straw men and beat around on them. Abstract
philosophy gives plenty of hiding room.

MWF:
Well, yeah, abstract philosophy is a bit more difficult to
handle, but one can still make it rather hard to hide, albeit it does
take some practice.

I seem to have noticed a rather clear disinterest on the part of
either Dave or Walt Jr., for example, in wanting to discuss such matters
with my (perhaps not so) humble self.

Perhaps I'm misinterpreting the last couple of days of silence,
but it appears that Dave and Walt Jr. have at least decided to think a
little harder before posting any more such cosmological argumentation.
In my prideful Yahweh denying way I like to think that my last few posts
have perhaps actually succeeded in making an impression. Not that any
admissions will be forthcoming.

We can only wait and see what they do.

Ciao.
