WALT JR TO SR
>Thirdly, you again have backtracked on the foundation for moral absolutes.
You "borrow" from the Judeo/christian system, yet you reject the foundation
of those systems which make those virtues absolute. Once again, you fall
into logical contradictions.

Has Walt ever bothered to investigate the origin of morality? Various
records that antedate the OT (the Code of Hammurabi, for example) show that
the law of Moses simply borrowed its moral code from other societies. *The
Dawn of Conscience* (whose author I can't recall) discussed the origin of
morality in Egyptian and other societies that flourished centuries before
the origin of the Israelite nation. The moral codes of those societies were
similar to what we find in the Bible, which apparently borrowed moral
concepts from the cultures around Israel.
