yoel-
Some of you politically correct types may disagree with me... but I think
that what is at work here is religious misogyny... Xtians say things...
emotional, scary and insulting things, to women that they wouldn't say to a
man, in trying to appeal to a woman's stereotypical emotions. (as they
would se it.)
Magill's vicious letter to Helen about her "filthy mouth" and threats to
her that she is going to hell.
There was a previous letter to Sarah, I believe, threatening her with hell,
then a mushy call to repent.
Walt's letter to April calling her "overly emotional and insecure".
The recent letter warning Sarah about her future inability to sleep (in hell).
Even in Walt's recent "Oh aren't you a sweet son?" letter to me, he was
trying to bring up my poor "hurting" mother and how he (but not I) grieves
for her on account of my unrepentance. My mom could kick Walt's ass! (In a
loving, xtian way, of course.)
Well... that is just my observation... I am sure that the xtians will deny
it... but it had to be said.
