Farrell Till has an excellent point. I find it extremely annoying that Protestant Christians will emphasive that we are saved through "faith alone", but will also claim that Christians who have committed atrocities in the name of Christianity weren't really Christians. "Anyone who is a follower of Christ and has a relationship with the Lord would obviously never do anything that bad, they say." In other words, when it comes to explaining away Christian atrocities, Christians will determine whether someone is a Christian according to their *works*, and not their *faith*.
