Incorrect. There is no good historical data that proves that Jesus lived when the Bible says that he did. I think there is enough evidence which would suggest a thing but "scientists" have never "proven" the above claim to be true.
> Additionally, the story of the crucifixtion of Jesus is well-documented by
> witnesses who were not Christian.
False. There is not a *SINGLE* non-Biblical witness from whom we have an independent account.
> Finally, there were 515 people who witnessed Jesus alive after the crucifixtion.
And where are the records written by these people? Funny, no one seems to have any record of these witnesses except those recorded in a biased book.
> Now, after the resurrection, the disciples went around proclaiming the
> gospel. Some went to their death for that very reason. I ask you, would
> anyone be willing to die for a lie?
It happens every day. First, this statement assumes that the disciples *KNEW* it was a lie, something that is certainly not demonstrated. Belief in something doesn't make it true or valid. Secondly, we see people dying for causes they believe in all the time. Look at the Muslim world where death in the name of Allah guarantees one's eternal soul into paradise. I can think of hundreds of other religious and secular ideas that adherents are willing to die for. Just because you can find some moron who is willing to throw their life away for a cause doesn't make the cause true.
Try again.
