This is one subject I am familiar with since what happened didn't just come
from the movie,'The Ghost of Flight 401' but the fact it was printed in my
hometown newspaper also. Not to mention it was documented by the FAA and the
NTSB and the airlines involved. Here is what happened after the crash of Flt
401 and remember what I said, it is all documented and involved a lot of people.

After the crash of Flt 401, the aircraft was recovered and sent to the
airport. After the investigation, serviceable parts from the aircraft were
taken off and put into other L-1011's. Soon afterwards, crewmembers and
passengers started seeing aparitions of the Captain and second officer in
the different areas of several L-1011's. At first the airlines were
skeptical but when ordinary passengers started seeing the aparitions, then
the airlines started to investigate further. When a crewmember or a
passenger reported seeing the aparitions of the pilot or 2nd officer, they
were taken to a room and given a book of photos of Eastern airlines
employees. It wss a fairly thick book with a lot of pictures. In every
instance, the crewmembers picked either the captain or the 2nd officer and
nobody else. Only those two individuals. The pictures were not published in
newspapers so many of the passengers and crewmembers of the other airlines
didn't even know what those two crewmembers even looked like yet they always
picked the same two indiviuals. Things got so out-of-hand in those incidents
that the FAA stepped in and started an investigation. What they uncovered
was the fact only those L-1011's that had parts from Flt 401, were the only
planes where crewmembers and passengers were reporting the sightings of the
pilot and 2nd officer. Do you know what the FAA did next?! They issued a
quite directive to start removing parts on L-1011's whose parts came from
Flt 401. That was something the FAA had never done before, but it worked.
For some unknown reason, all sightings had ceased and no more reports were
recorded. The fact that people who never even knew what the captain and 2nd
officer looked like and yet in every instance, identified those individuals
when taken into a closed room says something had happened and the fact the
FAA issue a directive like that comfirms it. Later the photos were released
and that created another problem when those, who identified the two dead
crewmembers, saw the pictures. You can lookout for the Movie. The story was
also printed in the Vallejo Times Herald years ago and in documentaries on
TV. No explanations were ever givento explain what happened. People quietly
skipped the issue.
